The Fiddler, also known as Mr. Bowin, is a character in The CW and DC Universe series, Stargirl.
The Fiddler was a member of the Injustice Society of America through his villainous alter-ego The Fiddler until either his death or incarceration. He was the husband of Anaya Bowin and the father of Isaac Bowin.
Biography[]
When the Fiddler was a child, he was picked on for playing his favorite instrument, a violin. But he never stopped pursuing his passion. He never let anyone else define him. The bullies only stopped bothering him after he took the bow of his violin and put it through one of their eardrums.[1]
Series[]
Season 1[]
Courtney Whitmore began her search for the Injustice Society of America and snuck into Blue Valley Medical Center to see if any members visited the comatose Henry King Sr., who operated as the villain Brainwave. She and her friend Yolanda Montez witnessed their principal, Anaya Bowin, visit Brainwave. She played the violin for him and then left.[2] Curious about the incident, Courtney asked her stepfather Pat Dugan if any ISA villains played the violin. He confirmed that one did, a villain who went by the name "The Fiddler". She produced her yearbook and pointed to Principal Bowin as being the Fiddler. Pat disagreed, as the Fiddler was a man and Irish.[3]
After Courtney assembled a new Justice Society of America, Pat attempted to teach the kids about the ISA. He reached Fiddler, who he described as "male and Caucasian". Courtney impatiently interrupted to say he was no longer a "white dude", but Principal Bowin.[4]
Isaac Bowin was bullied in high school and Principal Bowin, his mother, spoke to him about it. He admitted to being bullied because of his tuba. She understood and told him how his father was bullied for his passion, and nodded to the violin on display. The bullies only stopped when he took the bow of the violin and used it to rupture the bullies eardrum.[5]

The Fiddler only appeared in flashes of the past. He had long dirty brown hair that was rather straggly. He was described by Pat Dugan as being "male, Irish, and Caucasian".
Powers[]
- Mind Control: By playing the violin, he could control the minds of those who listened. He was skilled at mental manipulation, as Tigress, who had an infamous dislike of everyone, believed the Fiddler's power could have awakened a comatose Brainwave.
