Gar Logan falls through the Multiverse and lands hard on the pavement outside Blue Valley High School. He stands, groaning in pain. A pair of blue boots lands on the ground, and Stargirl cautiously approaches the stranger while holding her Cosmic Staff. She calls out to him, and he startles, staring at the staff oddly. She asks if he’s alright, and he whispers back to ask where he is. She explains he’s in Blue Valley, Nebraska, which depletes him until he realizes he’s in North America. She looks up to the sky as she says he came from nowhere, just a light in the sky that she saw. The staff warbles and jerks toward Gar, who flinches away. Stargirl pulls it back and reprimands Cosmo, chuckling out an apology. She asks if he needs help which makes him laugh. Suddenly serious, he needs to get to his family. She knows how important family is, and he gets the sense that she does. He needs to get to them, but he’s not sure where that is. He turns away from her and positions himself, commanding to be taken to his family, but nothing happens. She whispers to ask him who he’s talking to. He takes a deep breath then shouts to be taken, and a bright red light swirls around him, then sucks him out of Blue Valley’s Earth.

Notes and Trivia
- The crossover was initially teased by Brec Bassinger after she posted a photo of herself in Toronto, dressed as Stargirl alongside Geoff Johns and Ryan Potter (Gar).[2]
- Dude, Where's My Gar? was initially scheduled as the seventh episode of the season[3] but was changed to the ninth for unknown reasons.[1]
- This is the first episode in which Brec Bassinger's Stargirl appears in another live-action television series. While stock footage was used during The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths, the footage was not exclusive to the series it aired on, nor was she properly credited for her 5-second cameo.
- It is also the first time she appears as a guest star, having previously starred in all three seasons of Stargirl.
- This is the first, and only, time that a CW series crosses over with a HBO Max series. While Stargirl concluded on The CW before the crossover, the character is still the same Courtney Whitmore from The CW series. Interestingly, all three seasons of Stargirl are available to stream on HBO Max.
- On November 1, 2022, Titans showrunner Greg Walker spoke with ScreenRant about the crossover.[4]
- Greg left Toronto and Geoff Johns came to work on episode 407, and then "crazy stuff started happening". He admitted to not seeing the episode at the time of the interview, noting that Geoff works in mysterious ways. He went on that they would be lucky to have Stargirl on their show, and that he's a huge fan of the series.
- He did confirm that the photo posted was from the filming of season four episode seven.[5]
- Dude, Where's My Gar? picks up for Stargirl after an unexpected series finale.
- Geoff was asked about the crossover during his interview with The Flash Podcast. He remained tight-lipped about the photo taken, and only responded with "never the end". The interviewer attempted to rephrase the question by asking if the Stargirl characters could somehow live on in the Titans or Doom Patrol shows, or appear in an episode or two, but Geoff still couldn't answer that.[6]
- During a Twitter space following "Chapter Thirteen: The Reckoning", Stargirl graphic designer and lore keeper Shawn McBee was asked about the crossover, but remained tight-lipped, only teasing that he knew about the episode and was excited for fans to see it.
- The episode title was initially released on October 24, 2022, via the Titans official Twitter account. However, the post was taken down at a later date.[7]
- Titans was anticipated to return in January or February of 2023 after its sister show Doom Patrol finished its season. However, HBO Max did not include Titans in its list of programming for those respective months.[8][9]
- On April 4th, 2023 during her WonderCon Orlando panel, Brec Bassinger answered a question on whether or not she'd return to the role of Courtney Whitmore. She teased the upcoming Titans episode by saying, "We have a crossover – 'perhaps' – on 'Titans.' I don't know…".
- The song that played before Courtney's scene, "Grateful" by Better Than Ezra, previously played in the Season 1 finale of Stargirl.
- Geoff Johns talked about Stargirl's cameo with DC.com and said, "I wanted to have Stargirl there because this was also an episode about the importance of family, and Stargirl is the epitome of family. She represents the heart of family, so when Gar is trying to get back to his family, he is drawn to another person who loves and cares about family."[10]
- He added that, had Stargirl been renewed for another season, they would have referenced her interaction with Gar or kept him in Blue Valley for an episode.[10]
