Bobbie Burman was a minor character in The CW and DC Universe series, Stargirl.
She was the step-mother of Cindy Burman and the newest wife of Dr. Ito. She served as Cindy's mother in public, only to be treated as a slave once home. She doted on Cindy's every word out of fear for Dr. Ito's retribution.
Biography[]
Bobbie once had a carefree life of partying, until she was at some point, abducted by Dr. Ito and conditioned to be his wife and Cindy's stepmother in public.
Series[]
Season 1[]
Bobbie is seen briefly at the Blue Valley High open house. She is enthusiastic about the open house and the school, even trying to make conversation about some of Cindy's teachers. However, Cindy sharply tells her stepmother to stop talking, to which she surprisingly obliges.[1]

Cindy returns home from school and is greeted by Bobbie Burman, her latest stepmother. Bobbie holds a plate of cookies in anticipation and asks how her day went. She hopes it went well, but Cindy calls her out for not really wanting her day to go well. She knocks the plate of cookies into Bobbie so the plate shatters and the cookies are on the floor. Cindy notes that if she were Bobbie, she would be hoping that Cindy got run over on the way home. Bobbie is quiet but states that she's retiring to her room early, something the displeases Cindy, who wants an afternoon snack. She requests cheese and wine, but Bobbie has orders from Cindy's father not to give her alcohol. Cindy threatens to tell her father that Bobbie is mistreating her again. Bobbie pleads with her not to and eventually, despite orders, she fetches her teenage stepdaughter some pinot noir and cheese. Cindy proceeds to visit her father unannounced by entering his lab via a keypad, something that Bobbie warns her against. Cindy snaps that if she announces herself he'll just say he's busy like always.[2]
Bobbie is visited by Pat and Beth. Beth says she is a friend of Cindy's from school, and wants to learn cheerleading moved from her. Bobbie says Cindy isn't home, and asks who Pat is. Pat and Beth answer differently, and eventually decide that Pat will pose as her adoptive father. Bobbie invites them in, and makes them cookies. She asks Pat what he does, and Pat says he is a mechanic, joking that he is referred to as the car doctor. Bobbie says she is just a housewife and mother, remarking she used to do other things, but adds nothing is more important than raising a child. Beth asks for some water, and Bobbie leaves to get it. When Bobbie returns, she is weirded out by the goggles, but they dismiss it with Beth having pour eyesight. Meanwhile, the goggles are unable to identify who Bobbie is. Pat starts fixing the sink while Bobbie flirts with him when Cindy comes home, but doesn't realize it is Pat. After Pat fixes the sink, Bobbie makes a move on him, and Pat makes a hasty exit as Bobbie protests. [3]
Season 2[]
Bobbie enjoys her freedom since Dragon King's death and Cindy's disappearance, and is planning on leaving. But when Cindy returns, she reminds Bobbie that her only purpose is to serve her. Eclipso appears in a kitchen knife and convinces Bobbie to kill Cindy. Bobbie attacks Cindy but is quickly disarmed. Eclipso possesses Cindy and kills Bobbie by devouring her soul with his diamond, disintegrating her body. Cindy retakes her body and warns Eclipso that if he tries to control her again, she will gets back in his box. Despite everything, Cindy is saddened by Bobbie's death and says she didn't want her to die.
Personality[]
Bobbie is initially portrayed as the positive, encouraging and well-involved step-mother of Cindy Burman. She attends pep rallies and open houses but is talked down to by Cindy. In reality, Bobbie is petrified of the consequences she might face at the hands of Cindy or Dragon King if she speaks out of turn or upsets them. This fear keeps her close to the family and makes her a loyal subject to them. She tries to stay positive and hide her fear but caves in when threatened by Cindy with the idea of Dragon King punishing her again.
Bobbie is also shown to have a very flirtatious side, likely the result of having virtually no physical contact with anyone save for Cindy. She showed very little restraint, making her intentions clear to Pat with no hesitation, trying to convince him to sleep with her instantly which made Pat quite uncomfortable.
Physical Appearance[]
Bobbie is a pretty young woman in her thirties with perfectly curled auburn hair and green eyes. She has a slim figure and is seen in stereotypical housewife attire, such as a knee-length dress and apron with sensible shoes.
